Join Molly Giles, Biologist with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, to find out interesting facts about ducks, geese, and swans. Waterfowl have special adaptations that help them survive in aquatic environments. We’ll learn about the food resources they need, how they nest and raise their young, and the awesome annual migration that these birds undertake every fall and spring.
Molly will lead a discussion on how the PGC manages waterfowl populations using survey and marking birds with leg bands and GPS transmitters. We’ll also talk about the importance of our wetlands and the benefits they provide to wildlife and humans.
Great program for kids and families!
