Molly Giles, Biologist, PA Game Commission will cover interesting facts about ducks, geese, and swans, including topics like the food resources they use, how they nest and raise young, special adaptations that help them live in aquatic environments, and the awesome annual migration that these birds undertake every fall and spring. We will also discuss how the Pennsylvania Game Commission manages waterfowl populations using various surveys and by marking birds with leg bands and GPS transmitters. Lastly, we’ll talk about the importance of wetlands and the benefits they provide to wildlife and to humans as well. Great program for kids and families!
